General Questions/New to Joomla! 5.x • com_users registration form customization and submit to external API

Hello Everyone,

Can anyone please help me out on this.

I have customized the registration form in joomla 5.x (With out changing the core files).
In Administrator->users->fields->have added 2 fields.

I have attached file , Can any one please look that

I have added Last name and terms and condition custom fields (I have renamed name as firstname)
So here my question is i want last name should be below to first name , How to do that ?
Do i need to change in default.php file or in administartor panel can i change any setting ?

One more question is I want to use some external API (Rest API) to submit data
Here it is a generic question through out my portal i just want to use joomla DB only for portal settings
For user create,login,forgot password,change password and remaining other things i want to get data from External API and i want to post data to external API

Is that possible to do like that ?

First i want to get clarify for register user shall i use Rest API instead of Joomla DB store ?

If yes , Can you please explain me
